The Hallsville School District is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to serve as the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach for the 2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and leading a competitive program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program for the varsity girls' basketball team.
• Lead practices, drills, and conditioning sessions to enhance player performance.
• Prepare strategies for games, including analyzing opponents and assigning player roles.
• Foster a positive environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and respect.
• Collaborate with the athletic director and school administration on scheduling and program development.
• Maintain open communication with players, parents, and staff.
• Ensure adherence to all school and league policies and regulations.
• Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.
• Experience in coaching basketball is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 60 college credit hours.
• Successful completion of background checks.
