The Hallsville School District is hiring a contact tracer for the 2021-2022 school year. The contact tracer will coordinate and facilitate contract tracing for all Covid-19 cases for the school district in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Contact Tracer will use our student information system and seating charts to identify all contacts of anyone diagnosed with COVID-19. The contact tracer will follow all established protocols provided by the district and the department of health and human services. They will also comply with our confidentiality policies related to student information.

Work with administrators and teachers to identify close contacts at the school by using district seating charts
- Call all contacts of newly diagnosed or quarantined cases

Communicate with student and parent contacts in a professional and empathetic manner

Follow the guidance provided by the school and health department to inform contacts about isolation or quarantine and what to do if symptoms are present or develop

Collect and record return dates for students who have been identified as close contacts and communicate these dates to building nurses and administration
- Must be flexible and able to work at least 10-20 hours per week on an as-needed basis
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

High school diploma, or equivalent required. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Ability to speak, read, and write English clearly and concisely.

Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and independent work ethic.

Excellent interpersonal skills required and ability to interact professionally with individuals during a time of distress.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Sound judgment required.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Proficiency with computers and data entry into electronic tracking systems and google experience is preferred.
